Women’s Yoga and Meditation Retreat
Spirit of the Harvest
with Alison Rothman and Ceily Levy
October 7 -9, 2017
Taos, New Mexico
Alison and Ceily invite you to a special women’s retreat in magical Taos, New Mexico. We will converge within the sacred space of a Ceily’s private studio snuggled inside a 150 year-old historic adobe home with pristine views of sacred Taos Mountain.
As we consciously retreat from our routine of everyday activities, awareness and sensitivity awakens to focus upon the autumn season of dwelling in-between – letting go of summer abundance and light and moving into the stillness and quiet of winter.
Guided by nature and inner wisdom we begin to see that enduring wellbeing is not found through striving and applying forced effort, but rather by letting go and opening to the fullness of the present moment. Even so, letting go does not mean spacing out, disconnecting or losing touch with awareness but requires a skillful clarity and insight.
Together we will explore the inquiry into what is it that we wish to gather and what would we be willing to release. Informed through the practices of meditation, mindful hatha yoga, yin and restorative sequences that nourish and compliment autumn harvest energies in nature and in our bodies, resources become abundant and reliable. There will be free time to use as we wish or to schedule a healing massage with Alison. Within the integration of movement, stillness, silence and connection the potential for transformation is ripe.

Alison Rothman CMT CYT has practiced yoga for 25 years and taught for the past 10; studying and training with many senior teachers. Her business, Embody Your Life, focuses on using yoga, movement, meditation, and various healing arts modalities to support clients and students to find their ground, presence, and ultimately a deeper connection to their bodies in midst of the demands and challenges of everyday life. Her teachings are rooted in ancient yogic wisdom intermixed with the simplicity of loving and accepting our bodies and ourselves. Her approach is inspired by living each moment and by allowing our practice to enhance who we are through softening, tuning in, opening, and finding that peace within. She lives in Boulder, CO. with her 8-year old son.
Ceily Levy has been practicing and studying the art, science and philosophy of yoga since 1992. She teaches hatha, yin, gentle chair and restorative yoga, yoga nidra and meditation. Embodied Meditation for Moms
“Self-care is not selfish. You cannot serve from an empty vessel” ~Eleanor Brown
As moms our job is endless. It is our responsibility to tend to our own bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits to keep the well filled. Meditation is an essential practice offering a greater ability to handle stress, increased patience and presence, clarity of the mind, sustained energy, discernment and true alignment with ourselves.
