Women’s Yoga and Meditation Retreat
May 19-21, 2017
Taos, New Mexico
Awaken, Nourish and Renew
with Alison Rothman and Ceily Levy
(Another retreat offering will be in September for the Autumn Equinox ~ Stay tuned for details)
Alison and Ceily invite you to a special women’s retreat in magical Taos, New Mexico. We will retreat in a private studio within a 150 year old historic adobe home. The property includes pristine views of sacred Taos Mountain and lovely gardens.
Together we will practice mindful and active yoga, gentle, yin and restorative sequences that will nourish and compliment spring energies in nature and in our bodies. We will experience guided and silent meditation, walking meditation outdoors (weather permitting), simple qi gong techniques and periods of profound relaxation and stillness.
As the earth awakens to spring our bodies and minds follow the natural world with a deep stirring to shed the layers of winter and become fresh. Within that process is the need to balance yin and yang energies which we can learn to regulate through the practices of yoga and meditation. Just like nature, our bodies and minds are constantly changing and we can harmonize our energies toward states of well-being, self-awareness and peace.

Alison Rothman has practiced yoga since 1997, studying and training with many senior teachers. Her focus is on supporting students and clients in their embodiment utilizing yoga/movement, meditation, and various healing arts modalities. Her teachings are rooted in ancient yogic wisdom intermixed with the simplicity of loving and accepting our bodies unconditionally. Her approach is inspired by living and embodying each moment and by allowing our practice to enhance who we are through softening, tuning in, opening, and finding that peace within. She lives in Boulder, CO. with her 7-year old son.
Ceily Levy has been practicing and studying the art, science and philosophy of yoga since 1992. She teaches hatha, yin, gentle chair and restorative yoga, yoga nidra and meditation. She completed her hatha teacher training with Suddha Weixler of the Chicago Yoga Center, yin yoga teacher training with Paul Grilley, Insight Yoga with Sarah Powers and meditation with Elesa Commerse. She is co-director of Touching Earth, a mindfulness learning center, in Evanston, Illinois.
Embodied Meditation for Moms
“Self-care is not selfish. You cannot serve from an empty vessel” ~Eleanor Brown
As moms our job is endless. It is our responsibility to tend to our own bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits to keep the well filled. Meditation is an essential practice offering a greater ability to handle stress, increased patience and presence, clarity of the mind, sustained energy, discernment and true alignment with ourselves.
